An Update Sans Video

No video today, not because we haven't produced one but because wifi has been tricky to find. Never fear, we have a solution for future internet cafes that will allow us to resume boring you with our daily ramble.

We're in the middle of our fourth day (that went by quickly) and find ourselves in the town of Rotorua. Rotorua is famous in NZ for its thermal pools and perpetual eggy sulfur smell. So far we've smelled the sulfur but have yet to take part in any pools. Last night was our first in the campervan and will be tough to beat. Our campsite was spitting distance from the ocean and overlooked a series of limestone islands just off the shore. Waking up to a sunrise over the ocean and freshly plunged coffee is not a bad way to kick off our adventures.

We Made It!

Well, we made it! The trip was way easier than we thought it would be. We misread the original flight itinerary and thought we had an 18 flight to Auckland. Turns out that figure was the total travel time and the Auckland leg was only 12! While 12 may sound like a lot, it sure felt easy when we were prepped for 18! We took a couple of benadryl and passed out for a solid 9 hours. We've been bumming around Auckland for a day now and it's a lot smaller than we thought it would be. We'll be posting an Auckland video later.

This is the first video we've put together using the new camera we bought for our south pacific trek. The video editing software is somewhat limited so we're still playing with it, but generally it's very easy to put together a quick vid. We plan to do most of our updates via video and hope you enjoy them!
